Turkey Cupcakes

By Lisa VanWilliams

We don't like candy corn, so we came up with a Reese's mini Nilla wafer turkey cupcake alternative. Now you don't have to pick off the candy corn before you eat the cupcake and you can eat the whole thing.  There are a few different styles to pick from...once I got started on the eyeballs I was not sure which option would look more like a turkey, so you pick which one you like best or make a variety as well.

Ingredients:
4 caramels melted with 1/2 teaspoon water
Reese's Pieces
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups Miniatures & snack size unwrapped
candy eyeballs
1 box mini Nilla wafers
2 tablespoons peanut butter
box of Pocky sticks
frosting

Directions:
Melt the caramels and water (will need to be reheated as you go).  With the tip of spoon, dip it in hot caramel and dot the back of the eyeballs and apply to your cups.  Repeat steps for nose and mouth. Glue together a few of the Reese's Pieces with the caramel as well (extra mouths/noses) and put them all in the fridge to harden.

Bake and frost your cupcakes as you normally would. Then take mini Nilla wafers and make a mini peanut butter sandwich with them. Take 1 cookie and put peanut butter on the face of it then dip or pour sprinkle on it. Place that cookie in between your sandwich facing up so it's working as a holder.  Make 3 nilla sandwiches per cupcake. You can use Pocky sticks or pretzels for tails as well. Then add on your eyes and you are done. Enjoy!
