Let them eat cake, and have some great nails while doing it. The Spring 2018 Collection was inspired by the lavish life of Marie Antoinette. The collection includes 7 delicious shades to pick from: opulent pastels of sea foam green, teal, purple, pink and coral to help convey the romantic fantasy associated with being a queen.

Great color set to pick from. I tried the Ruffle Those Feathers which is a Teal Crème color. I love anything turquoise color which is a blue/green. Turquoise is said to help open the lines of communication between the heart and the spoken word, and it's a bringer of good fortune. It reminds me of ocean water & blue skies on dreary rainy May days that we are currently experiencing.

Rimmel London

Here are a few Rimmel London picks to keep on hand for a quick fix up and run out the door. Rimmel London has been making affordably priced cosmetics in London since 1834. They have some great items if you have a tight budget and still want some quality items. I was really impressed with all of the items.

Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (goes for around $5) is a feather light, oil free fluffy mousse that leaves a great matte finish and minimizes the appearance of pores. Multiple shades available to pick from whether your white as ivory or a dark brown goddess. Don't let the name foul you! I was thinking mousse, fluffy and light. It was not fluffy at all. A surprisingly thick mousse but evens out and leaves a great look. GREAT foundation for $5.

Magnif'eyes Eye Shadow NUDE Palette (goes for around $10) and has 12-shades of shadows to pick from including high shimmer, ultra-smooth, and blendable combos. They don't name the shades on their palettes, but 2nd one in from bottom is the bomb! It's a creamy neutral with a little sparkle. Lasts all day with no creasing. Looking forward to trying some of the other colors here and blending them up.

Lastly, the Stay Liquid Lip Color (goes for around $5 ea) offers high intensity colour with velvety matte finish. Rimmel London offers 14 bold colors to pick from that can stay on up to 12 hours long. I would go more with 3 hours based on my experience, and use a lip liner because it will bleed a little. But overall, nice feel to it and it does last longer than the average stick. I tried Plum This Show which is a deep color but looks really nice. Does not come off easily on my water bottle/coffee cup = bonus.

Osmotics - Anti-Aging Skincare

Skin Rescue -Nourishing Oil is a rich, conditioning oil that instantly relieves dry, dehydrated skin on the hands, face & body. The 3oz bottle goes for $58 and it only takes a drop or two to give skin a velvety texture that leaves it soft and smooth looking. The color is Kitten and it's a shimmering vibrant nude pink color.

Mon Shampoing - Personalized Haircare

Mon Shampoing did a US launch at the end of last year, and they are now bringing us a full range of customizable luxurious haircare products. They are a unique high-end Parisian haircare line and you can pick a vial of essential and vegetable oils, based on your hair type, and you mix it with either the Shampoo or Conditioner. You not have to add the oil if you prefer not to.

They have 5 vials of oils to elect from depending on what your hair needs at the time:
Oily Hair - mint, rosemary, jojoba
Colored Hair - orange, ylang ylang, limnanthes Alba
Soft/thin/brittle Hair - orange blossom, sage, grape seed

Mon Shampoing was kind enough to send me over some of the line to check out for myself. I tried the Gentle Shampoo ($28 250ml) & Conditioner w Keratin ($29 250ml), the lemon & lemongrass & sweet almond oil ($14 each 5ml), along with the Leave-In Nourishing and Detangling Spray Mask ($48 200ml).

At first smell, I did not think I was going to like the line but that's why I always say to myself, "you can't always judge a book by its cover". I was pleasantly surprised by the brand and my hair liked it. Is does have a unisex smell, it's not too girly, so everyone in the fam can use it. I added my oil into the shampoo and shook it up to mix it together. The detangler worked great to remove my colored wet hair tangles and after I dried my hair it was not heavy or oily. It's enriched with Lily of the Valley and White Wood scent. The scents are not strong and it does not linger heavily in hair.

I was excited they sent me over a few of their award winners to try out for myself. I was really impressed with the line and would recommend trying them out if you are into organic skin care. This is a high end skin care line that can only be found at Spa's.

First I tried the I tried the Marine Flower Peptide Eye Cream (around $117 for 1.05 fl oz). The eye cream is great. I love non-greasy, light smelling creams and this fits the bill. It has a light green color to it and it sinks in quickly and provides gentle ultra-rich moisture. It uses naturally derived plant peptides and innovative algae extracts to reduce the visible signs of aging. My under eye feels nicely moisturized and smoothed out.

Next, I tried the Marine Flower Peptide Serum (around $110 for 1 fl oz). Serums make me nervous but I was really impressed with this one. Quick absorbing and it's really rejuvenating. It delivers concentrated plant peptides and botanicals to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increase firmness - great for aging skin! It's not tacky and I cant feel it on my skin other than the light hydration and I like that.

The line is only sold at Spa locations and there are about 10 different locations in Connecticut and right along the boarder of New York.
