Cookina - Reusable Baking Sheet Giveaway

Review By Lisa VanWilliams
Are you going to be making tons of cookies over the holidays? Does your mom's lasagna recipe drip all over the bottom of your stove? This is an alternative to using aluminum foil, parchment and wax paper, and it makes for easy clean up on your baking tray and ovens. My daughter and I tested the Cookina baking sheet out by making some Chocolate Chip Cookies and it worked great! No stick, & easy to clean. You can also use it as a healthier alternative to use instead of oil/butter since it's non-stick.

You can check the store locator on their webpage to find a store where you can purchase these. The baking sheet sheet goes for $12.99. In Connecticut, it's available at Home Depot locations.

If you want to win a roll for free, just like this post on Facebook and you will automatically be entered to win a Baking liner to test out yourself. Winner will be notified Monday, October 26th by Facebook email.

Living With A Seal - Jesse Itzler

Review by Lisa VanWilliams

We are 7 days into Jesse's 31-day training with a Navy SEAL and I must say this guy is hilarious. I don't find many people laugh out loud funny, but this guy is funny. My husband is intrigued and curious as to why I am letting out little bursts of laughter from my side of the bed at night. This book is set to release in November and we got a sneak peak before it goes out. I would add it to your Christmas list if you enjoy these kinds of quick reads, and if you want to hear about how it is working out with a SEAL everyday for a month -and he asked for it, paid for it too!

Living with a SEAL
31 Days Training with the Toughest Man on the Planet

By Jesse Itzler
Published by Center Street
Hardcover: 272 pages
November 3, 2015; $26.00 US/$31.50 CAN; 9781455534678
Description
Entrepreneur Jesse Itzler will try almost anything. He brazenly pretended to be an established hip-hop artist to secure a meeting with a studio head -- and it led to a record deal. He convinced a bunch successful business executives to invest in an unprecedented business plan -- and it turned into Marquis Jet. He sincerely offered to run a 100-mile race in Spanx to get the attention of the beautiful founder of the company -- and ended up marrying her.
His life is about being bold and risky. And it's brought him plenty of rewards.
So when Jesse felt himself drifting on autopilot, he hired a rather unconventional trainer to live with him for a month-an accomplished Navy SEAL widely considered to be "the toughest man on the planet"!
Living with a SEAL is like a buddy movie if it starred the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air . . . and Rambo. Jesse is about as easy-going as you can get. SEAL is . . . not. He even shows up at Jesse's apartment with an inflatable raft just in case the Itzler family ever has to escape Manhattan by crossing the Hudson River.
Jesse and SEAL's escapades soon produce a great friendship, and by the time SEAL leaves, Jesse is in the best shape of his life, but he gains much more than muscle. At turns hilarious and inspiring, Living with a SEAL ultimately shows you the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone.
Author Bio
Jesse Itzler,
author of Living with a SEAL: 31 Days Training with the Toughest Man on the Planet, eats only fruit 'til noon, loves Run-D.M.C., and enjoys living life "out of the box." He cofounded Marquis Jet, the worlds largest prepaid private jet prepaid flight card company which he and his partner sold to Berkshire Harhaway/NetJets. Jesse then helped pioneer the coconut water craze with Zico coconut water, which was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company. He is a former rapper on MTV and he produced both the NBA's Emmy Award-winning "I Love This Game" music campaign and the popular New York Knicks anthem "Go NY Go." When he is not running ultra marathons, eating vegan food or being a dad to his three kids, Jesse can be found at the NBA's Atlanta Hawks games, where he is an owner of the team. He is married to Spanx founder Sara Blakely. Follow the author on Twitter.

Reviews
"It's hilarious."
-- LeBron James
"George Foreman once gave me great advice. When I told him my husband ran 100 miles non-stop he said, 'Sara, don't try to understand a man like that. Just love him.'"
-- Sara Blakely, Founder of SPANX and Jesse's wife
"This is 100% Jesse. Do it differently and you get different results. That's the way he has operated his entire life and it has worked beautifully."
-- Mike "Coach K" Krzyzewski, Duke Basketball head coach
"Jesse is a risk taker and is always trying different things to get better. Plus, he's fun to go out with."
-- Tom Brady, New England Patriots, four-time NFL Champion, two-time NFL MVP
"Jesse knows what it takes to succeed in business and in life - a Don't Quit attitude! Our US Military embraces that attitude in training and survival, no one more so than the elite Navy SEALs. When my pal invites SEAL into his world, Jesse's life is never the same again! The relationship between these guys is outrageous - it's like the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air meets Rambo! But with all the insanity there are strong life messages, hysterical moments, and great lessons to be learned. Like Jesse, this book is a HIT!"
-- Jake Steinfeld, chairman and founder of Body by Jake
"Most of us go through life on auto-pilot. New day . . . same routine. This guy beamed a "live action hero" into his living room for 31 days to shake up his life. Sometimes you have to have the guts to do something radical to get results."
-- Dolvett Quince, Health and Fitness Trainer, The Biggest Loser

Phuse - 11 things i love about you leave in conditioner

Review by Lisa VanWilliams

My hair is in one big knot after I get out of the shower, and I am constantly on the hunt for a detangler/conditioner that will make the process a little easier. If you have color treated or highlighted hair that gets tangled after washing, you might be interested in this product. Eating Like A Champ - Ronda Rousey

Cosmopolitan just ran an article, "What Ronda Rousey Really Eats In A Day" and we got the lowdown on what the 5ft 7in 135 pounder UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion puts down in a day. She is a self-proclaimed bad cook. The Olympic Medaler will also throw in a couple of protein shakes twice a day to get all her vitamins in. Hard core workouts require constant refueling and here's what Ronda will have in a typical day (and yes, she puts butter in her coffee):

Breakfast
  • Chia bowl with chia seeds, hemp seeds, oats, agave nectar, almond butter, raisins, and cinnamon
  • Coffee french press style, with grass-fed butter, raw coconut oil, stevia, & cinnamon
Lunch
  • Egg scramble on bread - 2 scrambled eggs with red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, avocado, mushrooms, and turkey bacon on top of Ezekiel bread with grass-fed butter
Dinner

Giving up, she fell asleep but was later awakened by a noise. Upon switching on the light, she found that a book had fallen to the floor and opened to the picture currently on the label.
Ballet of Angels is a light and refreshing semi-dry white wine with a delicious floral bouquet. The wine has wonderful refreshing citrus flavors reminiscent of peaches, pears and sweet grapefruit.
